About us – Partnerschaft für Afrika
Partnerschaft für Afrika e.V. is a registered non-profit association that collects donations to support projects and programs for children in need. Our associated foundation aims to generate sustainable income for our activities through the income from the foundation’s capital.
For our commitment, we were awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2022 – in the person of Friederike Heidenhof.
Association
On the initiative of Friederike Heidenhof, who was in Tanzania for a three-month consulting assignment in 2005, our current projects were launched and further developed together with the local partners. In 2011, the non-profit association “Partnership for Africa” was founded.

Foundation
In 2021, the “Partnership for Africa” foundation was added to generate a long-term, non-donation income for our institutions through investment income from endowments.

Project partners
We have been working with local partners on site from the very beginning. The reason: the knowledge of the exact needs, the know-how for implementation and the knowledge of the local peculiarities is best provided by the local well-trained experts themselves. Our partners have taken the initiative themselves to bring about positive change in their society.
