Help for children in need
Step 1
We identify special cases of hardship and look for solutions for children in need.
Our project partners search for and find orphans, children who live in poverty, are often hungry and cannot go to school, and are exposed to violence or abuse.
We arrange and finance a place in one of our orphanages for smaller children without parents and relatives. Older children can go to our or other boarding schools or start vocational training.
Step 2
We first treat sick or disabled children in order to make them fit for school. Traumatised children receive psychological support.
Disabled children are often not treated, but discriminated against or neglected. That is why it is important to give these children first and foremost medical treatment.
Step 3
We help orphans and adolescents continue living with their remaining families if there is no immediate danger. We finance schooling, livelihoods and medical care for them.
Our social workers regularly check that everything is in order with the housing and environment. They are available for the worries and needs of young people and mothers. They organize accommodation, school clothes, food and medical care. In this way, we prevent these young people from slipping into crime and prostitution because they have no other chance of securing their survival.
Our teams look for suitable school places and take care of registration, transport and payment.
