Orphanages
Step 4
Canaan HIV Children’s Village
Our Canaan Children’s Village is specially designed to meet the needs of HIV-infected children, but also other children in emergency situations – such as hunger, poverty, neglect, violence, abuse, imminent forced marriage and circumcision – also find a safe home here. Our Canaan Children’s Village under the roof of the church is designed for 70 HIV-positive and non-infected children who live in mixed groups to avoid stigmatization. With the right medication and close health monitoring, these children have a real chance of a long and independent life – despite infection.
Living Water Orphanage
Our Living Water Children Center is an orphanage for all children in emergency situations (see above), and the orphanage has also made a name for itself in the safe care of children with albinism. With our project partner “Living Water Children Center” (Kimaro family), we have created a complex that bridges the gap between accommodation in a safe orphanage, a good primary education and the opportunity to attend a high school. Everything in one hand, on one site.
