Successful self-employment

We have made it possible for many young people to take the step into self-employment. Today, they are hauliers, welders, car parts dealers, restaurant operators, tailors, hairdressers – also just a few examples.

Some examples

Emmanuel graduated from school and started as a small business owner on his own. We recognized his talent and helped him build a delivery company with his own vehicle, from which he can make a good living today. He now employs additional people and passed on his first equipment to a younger graduate to help him develop something for himself.

• After school, Ally trained as an electrician and first opened a small shop for stationery and video games. He now runs a well-stocked shop for electrical goods.

Jessica studied marketing and opened a beauty and hairdressing salon after completing her bachelor’s degree, which she has since leased. She herself is employed.

• After graduating from high school and college, Glorian started with second-hand fashion and then built up a thriving bakery. Through further support, she can now expand this business and hire more family members and additional employees.

• After school, Boniface first trained as a safari guide, but couldn’t find a job there. Instead, he has now opened a hairdressing salon and already has one additional employee.

Mepokuri graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Development. As a small businessman, he opened a shop in his home village and supplies the Maasai community with the bare necessities. He also helps improve the food and water supply in nearby Maasai villages.

Gerald first studied business administration, after graduating he built up a well-functioning company for aluminum windows.
