Infrastructure assistance
In Tanzania, due to the climatic conditions – increasingly affected by the consequences of climate change – everything continues to revolve around the issue of water supply, which is virtually not guaranteed by the state, just like the electricity supply, which often only works sporadically. That’s why we equip all buildings with gutters for rainwater harvesting and water tanks. In the dry season, a water tanker helps to transport water from more distant springs to the orphanage and schools.
By installing solar systems, we make the facilities independent of the power supply. A biogas plant generates own energy from the waste from animal husbandry from the farms.
However, infrastructure aid also includes major renovation measures and purchases, such as school buses, and the further expansion of farms and other income-generating projects.
