Local Donations & Contributions
Foreign donations – including those from Partnership for Africa – are a risky source of finance. Such donations can suddenly disappear if political, social or personal circumstances change.
For this reason, some members of the parishes have joined forces to form the “Friends of Canaan” group, which raises financial and in-kind donations at the local level. In addition, there is a pilgrimage movement in the communities that walk the Canaan Pilgrimage Trail to a chapel located above the orphanage and then make a donation to the center.
